Visual Poet; Routine Creative Cuisine Queen and Thanksgiving Nostalgia Recipes

This Thanksgiving, I was inspired by nostalgia; memories of my parents distinct, individual cooking talents.  I prepared all the usual Thanksgiving dishes, as well as baked from memory Daddy’s Luscious Lemon Pound Cake, Momma’s Mouth-Watering Old Fashioned Sweet Potato Pie and Southern Style Cornbread Dressing.

Usually when I am fervently writing; there is very little time to prepare meals or even bake favorite goodies.  Since meals are necessary; I have developed and or revamped quick, energizing, tasty, routine, creative cuisine recipes.  Therefore, given that I am a visual poet and possess culinary skills; I guess that makes me the ultimate Routine Creative Cuisine Queen.

Decision Points by Former President George W. Bush; An Interesting Read for Visual Poet

As a writer, I simply could not resist reading Decision Points by Former President George W. Bush; because, this is a personal account of the person I wrote about for eight years.  Believe it, for eight years I wrote President Tributes and sculpted numerous visual poems to honor President Bush as Commander-in-Chief.  And, let me tell you, I have received many negative responses because of my decision to write about President George W. Bush; even though I also wrote about President Barack Obama and Former President Bill Clinton.

In These Tough Economic Times; Visual Poet Encourages All to Allow Hope to Float

President Obama's Vision for the Economy

Like many Americans, I have been impacted by tough economic times which lead me to reassess my overall goals. I have chosen to tap into my source of strength, while being soothed with music by Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Bob Marley, The original Temptin’ Temptations and all Doo Wop groups.  I am committed to allowing hope to float and encourage everyone to do the same; check out the SAMHSA Guide; Getting Through Tough Economic Times.  Share your story of how you are coping during these tough economic times.
